Rowdies name Stuart Campbell as permanent head coach

According to a press release on Tampa Bay’s website, Stuart Campbell has been named the head coach of the Rowdies on a permanent basis.  Campbell made his head coaching debut on Saturday just two days after the dismissal of former head coach Thomas Rongen, a 3-1 loss to Minnesota at home.  Though this marks the beginning of Campbell’s career as a head coach for Tampa Bay, he has been a part of the team since late 2011 when he joined as a player, and has since been transitioning from a playing role to an assistant coaching role.  No other roster or front office announcements have been made as of publication.
