Indy Eleven releases 2016 Preseason Schedule

INDIANAPOLIS – On Friday Indy Eleven released the Club’s Preseason Schedule coming into the 2016 Campaign. For the 3rd year in a row the Boys in Blue will travel to Arizona for many of the club’s warm up matches. The Club’s schedule will see 3 NCAA Schools, 5 USL Clubs, and NASL Expansion Sister Club Ottawa Fury FC. Many of the matches will be open to the public including a friendly against Butler University at Grand Park in Westfield, IN on March 23rd.

  • Friday, February 26 vs. Indiana University (NCAA) – Bloomington, IN (closed door)
  • Wednesday, March 2 vs. Ottawa Fury FC (NASL) – Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, AZ (open to public)
  • Friday, March 4 vs. Arizona United SC (USL) – Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, AZ (open to public)
  • Monday, March 7 vs. Orange County Blues FC (USL) – Grande Sports World in Casa Grande, AZ (open to public)
  • Saturday, March 12 vs. FC Cincinnati (USL) – location, open/closed TBA
  • Wednesday, March 16 vs. St. Louis FC (USL) – location, open/closed TBA
  • Saturday, March 19 vs. Louisville City FC (USL) – location, open/closed TBA
  • Wednesday, March 23 vs. Butler University (NCAA) – Grand Park in Westfield, IN (open to public)
  • Friday, March 25 vs. University of Louisville (NCAA) – Lynn Stadium in Louisville, KY (open/closed TBA)

Key Notes:

  • Many of the matches will be closed to the public to give the Coaching Staff to get a better opportunity at assessment of players.
  • Former Indy Eleven Keeper Kristian Nicht is rumored to sign with FC Cincinnati.
  • The Starting XI for Tampa Bay will be set up mostly based off of the Preseason.
